What We Do

PERFORMING ARTS PHYSICAL THERAPY

ShoulderAddressing the special needs of the musician and performing artist, we feature a dynamic approach for musculoskeletal injuries integrating manual therapy, patient education and therapeutic exercise, often Pilates, to improve posture, function, strength, endurance and flexibility

SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY

A comprehensive approach to managing and preventing sports and exercise related injuries is emphasized as well as proper exercise training for people of all ages.

PILATES EXERCISE METHOD

Group classes and individual sessions are offered that focus on postural control, balance, coordination, strength and endurance exercise with breath control. The instructors are certified in Pilates exercise with special Pilates rehabilitation training.

 

We offer a FITNESS PROGRAM for patients to continue their exercise programs at our facility after discharge from physical therapy.

 


  • Pilates InstructionsEqual emphasis of Manual Therapy, Exercise Training and Patient Education in self management.
  • The Kaltenborn-Evjenth System of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy is extensively utilized for soft tissue, muscle and joint disorders.
  • In addition, Spinal, scapular and pelvic stabilization exercises are emphasized in the Norwegian method of exercise training.
  • The Stott Pilates approach to spinal stabilization is adapted to the earlier stages of the rehabilitation program for both spine and extremity patients.
  • Patient education is promoted with a variety of visual aids with a variety of printed handouts available.
  • Modalities are minimally used only as an adjunct to manual therapy and exercise.
  • All physical therapy intervention is performed by physical therapists with supportive interaction of PT Tech and clerical personnel.
